“Very good stay, but not quite 5-star yet Hotel VIU Milano has a lot going for it: a great location, friendly staff, and a stylish concept. However, a few important details kept our stay from being a full 5-star experience. First, the Bonvoy Titanium benefits were slightly disappointing. Breakfast is not included at this boutique property, which came as a surprise given the rate and brand expectations. Breakfast costs €40 per person, and while the quality is good, it is continental only, with no hot buffet. Eggs and porridge can be ordered separately, but in our opinion does not justify the price. Because of this, we chose to eat outside the hotel for the first two days. After our complaint regarding the breakfast was processed, the hotel kindly offered a 50% discount on breakfast, which we appreciated and then used. 20€ for breakfast seems more reasonable, but still disappointing that breakfast is charged separately for status members contrary to most other hotels of the Marriott chain. The room experience was mixed. We were initially upgraded to a junior suite, but it was located right next to the elevator and felt quite worn, cold and dark, especially for an upgrade. After raising these issues, the hotel handled the situation well and upgraded us again to a balcony suite on the highest floor, which was a clear improvement. However, also here the water didn’t get hot, and showering was border line comfortable. The maintenance guy looked at it and confirmed that hot water has issues being pumped up to the higher floors. The facilities are another area with room for improvement. The spa is very small, with only two lounge chairs, and the gym floor clearly needs replacing, which detracts from an otherwise modern feel. That said, the service was genuinely friendly and professional. Special thanks to Savo and Monica from Guest Relations, who were attentive, empathetic, and did their best to resolve the issues we encountered. Their service made a real difference and shows the hotel’s potential. In summary: great location, warm and helpful staff, and a nice design concept — but inconsistent room quality, limited facilities, and the lack of meaningful Bonvoy Titanium perks (especially breakfast) prevent Hotel VIU from reaching true 5-star territory. With some operational and maintenance improvements, it could absolutely get there.”

“A genuinely lovely hotel that we'd happily return to. The staff were wonderful from the moment we arrived — warm, attentive, and particularly sweet with our 6-month-old daughter at breakfast every morning. It's a small thing but it made a real difference to our stay. The rooms are clean, well-appointed, and the beds are extremely comfortable. We had a Deluxe Room with Terrace which was a real treat — sitting outside in the morning with the scent of flowers in the air is something we won't forget quickly. If you're visiting in spring or summer, I'd strongly recommend requesting a terrace room. Breakfast was very good and is served on the top floor with nice views overlooking the city. The overall quality of the hotel feels a step above what you might expect. One honest note on location — the hotel sits about 2km from the Duomo and the main tourist centre, so if you're planning to explore the city you'll want to budget for taxis or Ubers. Public transport is an option but we didn't use it. It's not a dealbreaker by any means, just worth knowing in advance. That said, for a business trip this is probably ideal — quiet, well-run, and a little removed from the tourist bustle. For a leisure city break it works perfectly well too as long as you're happy jumping in a cab. Would we recommend it? Absolutely.”

In the summer, the rooftop pool is absolutely incredible, the perfect spot to relax and take in the views after a day out in the city. The location is excellent, close to the city centre and easy to reach everything you'd want to see. One of the real conveniences is that you can park your car at the hotel without any hassle, and the whole place feels well secured, which gives real peace of mind. The staff are friendly and welcoming, always ready to help and make you feel at home. The suites are magnificent, spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. Everything came together to make for a wonderful stay. I highly recommend the VIU Hotel Milan to anyone visiting the city.”

“Hotel Viu was exactly the comfort and care I needed in Milan after an intense work trip and a failed Airbnb experience. The location, the hotel itself, the rooms, the rooftop bar were all excellent. What really stood out for me was the staff - each and every one of them from front desk to housekeeping to the amenities were all superb.
